Boston Herald: Patriots re-sign Tully Banta-Cain

FOXBORO – Patriots [team stats] linebacker Tully Banta-Cain [stats] didn’t remain free for long.

Banta-Cain, who was released yesterday by the team, has re-signed to a multi-year deal, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The move does not come as a surprise as Banta-Cain, who was signed as a free agent before the season, has been productive for the Pats. He is the team leader in sacks with three and has 13 tackles on the season.

Tully Banta-Cain “Defensive Player of the Game”

Tully lined up at DE in 4-3 sets and OLB in 3-4 sets for the Patriots and saw his role increase with the absence of Richard Seymour. In a game where the defense looked very porous at times, Banta-Cain came up with two big sacks, including the one that sealed the Patriots’ win.

Oh yes sir, the almight Patriots have won the opening game of the NFL season.  A tough match against the Bill’s but we came out on top.  Black Klown Clothier owner, Tully Banta-Cain, had 2 sacks including game winning sack and a few additional tackles to lead the defense to victory!
