Medicine Agency is excited to present a solo exhibition by artist Alvaro Ilizarbe, entitled ‘ABRACADABRA’. The show explores the magical and often devilry world of dieties. For the exhibition, Ilizarbe has painted large wooden masks that depict the realm of the gods and the supernatural. The characters represented are gods that live among us and have influence over things that happen in the present. These immortal deities have personalities and possess desires, and emotions similar to those of humans. The imagery, both enchanting and disturbing, is painted with finely tuned lines in black & white. Ilizarbe’s endless creativity and attention to detail are evident in these powerful and eerie masks.

Alvaro Ilizarbe was born in Peru, and later moved to Miami. He is the creator of the clothing label Freegums, which has been internationally featured in art shows, boutiques and publications.

Oliver Black is a Bay Area based-artist who paints custom canvases large and small. With his signature style he brings to life a unique breed of characters, creating a world where it is not uncommon to see diaper-adorned birds playing the banjo or cults of crowned fish dancing.  Often describing himself as ‘a reclusive, self-taught scribbler,’ there’s no denying the inner humor and oddity within Oliver that can’t help but to transcend itself onto his colorful canvases.  With a relentless eye for detail and a preternatural sense of symmetry, Oliver invites viewers to get lost in his complex yet accessible oeuvre.

We just saw pictures of the new Supreme bags and they have a slight resemblance to our new bag collection.  The good way to look at this is Supreme is better than Fubu.

After a long and intricate process of the fully custom Dream Series are now available in our online store.  These are all 10 color screen prints on hand-dyed, cut & sew garments that have side & neck taping, finished with triple over double stiching.  Literally, the highest quality t-shirt made today.  Please enjoy.

Instead of the traditionl catalog or look book video here is a film that we have produced in support of the Dream Series collection which is instores now.  Directed by John LaCroix (Medicine Agency) using the RED camera and complete with a custom music score by Cambo.
